December 22, 2011 – L-3 Services, Inc. Awarded SPAWAR C4I Contract

United States Department of Defense

L-3 Services, Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J., is being awarded a $20,094,932 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) support for systems integration engineering, planning and implementation of components and networks for Navy, joint, national and foreign military C4I systems. Work will be performed in San Diego, CA (75 percent), Mount Laurel NJ (10 percent), and at government locations worldwide (15 percent), and is expected to be completed December 20, 2014. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific, San Diego, CA is the contracting activity.

April 8, 2011 – L-3 Services, Inc. Awarded NAWCAD Mobile Air Battle Management Systems Contract

United States Department of Defense

L-3 Services, Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J., is being awarded a $42,496,099 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for mobile air battle management systems and communication-electronic support for the Air Force, Marine Corps, and other Department of Defense activities, including operational, technical, logistical and system engineering services; systems analysis and engineering; test and evaluation; installation and maintenance; hardware design; configuration management; training support equipment manufacturing; and quality control. Work will be performed in St. Inigoes, Md. (75 percent), and Mount Laurel, N.J. (25 percent), and is expected to be completed in April 2016. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, N.J., is the contracting activity.

March 2, 2011 – L-3 Services, Inc. Awarded Integrated Security Systems Sustainment Support Services Contract

L-3 Services, Inc., Mount Laurel, NJ, is being awarded a cost-plus-incentive-fee $33,489,745 contract for Integrated Security Systems Sustainment Support Services. Work will be performed in Charleston SC (57 percent); Norfolk, VA (23 percent); and Washington, DC (20 percent). Work is expected to be completed by March 2012. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, SC, is the contracting activity.

November 2, 2010 – L-3 Services, Inc. Awarded NAWCAD Engineering and Technical Services Contract

L-3 Services, Inc., Mount Laurel, NJ, is being awarded a $17,452,177 cost plus-fixed-fee contract for critical engineering and technical services in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division's Special Communications Requirements Division. Services will support legacy, current, and next generation telecommunication and related C-E system requirements for various Navy, Army, Air Force, special operations forces, and other agencies. Work will be performed at St. Inigoes, MD (40 percent); various locations outside the continental United States (30 percent); various locations in the continental United States (20 percent); and Lexington Park, MD (10 percent). Work is expected to be completed in October 2011. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD, is the contracting activity.

June 15, 2010 – L-3 C2S2 of Panama City to Manufacture Portable Water Purification Systems

L-3 Command & Control Systems and Software

L-3 Command & Control Systems Software Division (L-3 C2S2) announced today that its Panama City department has purchased exclusive rights to manufacture the Series 5.0 Water Purification System, a portable reverse osmosis water purification system. The Series 5.0 is the only portable mechanical filtration system in the world to pass the National Science Foundation’s stringent protocol P248 for Emergency Military Operations Microbiological Water Purifiers.

April 15, 2010 – Federal Enterprise IT Support Services Contract Awarded for SPAWAR

L-3 Services, Inc.,Mt. Laurel, N.J., is being awarded a $16,109,337 contract to provide Federal Enterprise Information Technology (IT) support services in support of federal agency customers including Department of Defense, Department of Justice, and other federal agencies. The required services are mainly for counter-terrorism related services. The products and services in this acquisition include program management, technical engineering support, integrated logistics support, configuration and data management support, direct customer support, and security engineering support for various Federal Enterprise IT systems and networks. This contract includes options which, if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to an estimated $85,539,822. Work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., (40 percent), Wash., D.C., (30 percent), San Diego (20 percent) and Norfolk, Va., (10 percent) and is expected to be completed by April 2011. If all options are exercised, work could continue until April 2015. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.

April 15, 2010 – L-3 Completes Acquisition of Insight Technology

NEW YORK, Apr 15, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that it completed the acquisition of Insight Technology Incorporated on April 14, 2010. Terms were not disclosed. Insight develops and manufactures mission critical night vision and electro-optical equipment and is headquartered in Londonderry, N.H. The acquired business, renamed L-3 Insight Technology Incorporated, is expected to add approximately $200 million to L-3's sales for 2010, and to be immediately accretive to L-3's earnings.

NEW YORK, Apr 15, 2010 (BUSINESS WIRE) --L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that Steve Kantor has been appointed president of its Services Group effective June 1, 2010. Mr. Kantor, who is also a corporate senior vice president, will continue to report to L-3 chairman, president and chief executive officer Michael T. Strianese. Mr. Kantor succeeds Carl E. Vuono, who will retire and remain with L-3 in a consultancy role..
